Here's some of my story. ... Creative talent is always something that has always come naturally to me. No matter what side of me you look at you will always see that I am always trying to create something beautiful. I feel that everybody should have an outlet or a hobby. Something they're good at something they look forward to doing. For me that outlet started when I was young and I've got into choreography. I used to gather all the neighborhood kids around and I would make dance clubs. Instructing other children younger than myself how to dance Instructing other children younger than myself how to dance. I believe this stems from the movie dirty dancing with Patrick Swayze. Growing up that was definitely one of my favorite movies. Dancing was a form of art to me. I loved it and I did it for many years to come. While in the midst of dancing I came across a neat hobby, Which was costume designing. That pursued me to get a sewing machine. Once I started sewing I found out very quickly that I loved embroidering. This is where my patchwork came in to play. After so long I got tired of sewing and decided that I wanted to try something different.
Next on the list was to try my hand at painting. Another show I used to watch on television was Bob Ross . I loved how he explained how to do the paintings and I also loved the type of paintings he did but when it came to paintings I wanted to try both realism and abstract. I found that I liked both but I was better with abstract because painting realism was hard for me at times. Doing abstract paintings led me into knowing that I really liked to do Dutch pours and dirty pours. I thought making cells was so pretty and so psychedelic also very beautiful. After doing many different paintings with many different techniques I realized that I actually like pouring in mixing things. So that's when epoxy came in to play.
I really enjoyed the challenges epoxy put me up to. Everything from the time limit on how quickly it cures, To trying to place things in the molds and make it look good. The outcome was always such a treat and it made me want to experiment with more things. So I started using Micha powder and alcohol inks. I bought all different types of silicone molds. And had all different types of glitter.
Of course some of the molds were jewelry molds where you could take dried flowers and put them in pendants. And of course this led me to making jewelry.
Along the way I obtained a cricket machine Which led me to work with HTV vinyl and sticker paper and card stock . There are still so many more projects I'd like to do. And perhaps one day I will get there. With all the creative material that I have I decided maybe I should sell some of it . Which led me to making my own online website. So that I could sell the artifacts that I had made. I'm very critical of my work a lot of times I don't think it's worth anything but then somebody comes along and makes me feel like I totally have something. Sometimes I don't know what to believe. My inner self screams" no you don't have it!" no you can't make it!" and "no you won't do it!" That is the very moment that I have to prove to myself that I do have it and I can make it and I will do it. Well that's my story in a wrap And I'm sticking to it. Thanks for reading my blog hope I didn't Chase anybody away. Stay beautiful Stay wonderful Stay creative Be original.
